Before learning the obscure secrets of how to increase website traffic, use some basic search engine optimization techniques to tweak your website.

Use a keyword rich title: Which is a carefully researched keyword/phrase searched for in the search engines, by a potential customer, that could point to your website. Usually, you would not use your business name unless it contains an effective keyword for your topic. Use of a keyword tool such as AdWords Keyword Tool (free) or, for a really professional job, use Wordtracker (monthly subscription).

Correct use of title tag is essential – We’ve seen pages in the search engine results with incorrectly inserted the title tags. A page may be picked up as, “Untitled” or “New Page.”

Don’t try to stuff ten topics on just one page! Use one topic per page, using your keyword researched content.

Use Text Links – If you want the search engines users to find you, use text links. A site map should be added to your website, together with a link to it on every page!

Include a Links Page- If you want others to link to your site, show it on your home page.
